God does use... 'Cracked Pots'

The POTTER (God) uses... CRACKED POTS (Us).
David said... in Psalms 31:12... I am forgotten as a dead man out of mind: I am like a broken vessel/pot.
Again in Psalms 31:14... But I trusted in thee, O LORD: I said, Thou art my God.
Psalms 31:24... Be of good courage, and He shall strengthen your heart, all ye that hope in the LORD.

YOUR LIGHT WILL SHINE THROUGH YOUR CRACKS!

'Have JOY & ENJOY LIFE'

Oh, my... with ALL that said, goodness, I got a little carried away there.
Just as God uses... Us as CRACKED POTS, we too can put those... CRACKED & BROKEN POTS to use in our GARDENS.
Here you see I have taken an OLD CRACKED POT using it for drainage in planting. Above, I have chosen an Old Coke Crate filled with the BROKEN CLAY to prevent the soil from seeping through.  These Crates are great to work with when seeding... you can use each compartment just like you were using the plastic version.  Pop out when plants mature or leave in for a more... dramatic show!

Old, Metal, Memorial Baskets have been prepared for planting, they are wonderful for vining plants such as... Ivy, Black-Eyed Susan Vine, Vinca Vine OR whatever one of your favorites may be.

Here you see... I have chosen one of my favorites, IVY, I dearly love the lush green it gives ALL year.  And REMEMBER... the PIECES OF CLAY that lies at the bottom, it's part of the plants survival each day.

Enjoy this day... my friend!

A Gal Can DREAM...

It's amazing how the weather can make you OR break you & right now... I feel as if I'm on the breaking end!  I'm DREAMING of those long, lost days of SUMMER when all my concern was running through the sprinkler in my barefeet on the soft green grass, oh, how I can DREAM!

Blessings 2 You...    Pamela

The JOY of Giving...

I truly love giving... brings such joy to my soul & what better flower to give than, the popular hydrangea... 'Annabelle', love it's petite bloom size & the abundance that it gives.

Enjoy this day of giving... Pamela

Pure Enjoyment N Painting...

Well... time is of the essence, so we KNOW this wasn't done lately, like I do most of the time... I take photos & share later, so with that being said... I have back up photos that would probably cover the rest of the year out in post & I STILL have camera in hand most of my days.

Sharing an... OH, SO EASY, tutorial on sponging a brick walkway to wherever you want the path to lead, this one just so happens to begin at the front door of the shop & winds around to the back door, not a far distance, but I kept it wide.  And I wanted something different besides the red, brick look (mostly what I've always used), something REFRESHING & BRIGHT to go with the ALL new look coming to Beehind Thyme Garden & Wares.

As you can see in the photo... I've used a VERY cheap sponge for this reason... if the sponge gets sloppy it can easily be tossed, no worry!  Here I've used... Antique White, Wicker White & Burnt Umber for shading in the Folkart Acrylic Paint, of course, the floor was base coated with a totally different type of paint made especially for high traffic areas & then sealed with several coats of Polyurethane.

I blend the Antique White & Wicker White, getting a two-tone color then using my... CHEAP sponge I move in a circular motion picking up the Burnt Umber with the edge of the sponge, giving it a marblized look.  Don't be too perfect, because we all know bricks have variations of color throughout their surface & can have chips & breaks... here & there.  We surely want them to look as nature as possible, just as if we gathered them from an old home place.

Now start placing the brick where you want them to go, you will find that you will be having to pick up alot of paint during this project to get a full color brick, so be patient. This can even be done on walls, a patio floor, on a piece of furniture, wherever the path it may lead to I'm sure the results will be WELL worth your time.

I truly hope that you've enjoyed this LITTLE TUTORIAL... I surely hope to find the time to bring you more in the future. Lord, knows... I have plenty of photos ready to upload!  Hoping you a Good Day... my friend!

You JUST gotta have an Easter Tree...

For all those who don't know... my great-niece, well, let me kindly introduce you to Miss Mia, my little shadow & YES, she surely does believe she is my shadow... LOL!  If you follow me on Facebook you will find each season Miss Mia & I making memories while being creative.  Today we have gathered branches from my ALL time favorite tree... the Birch Tree, the branches are wonderful to work with & the color of them just adds extra appeal to the finished project.  As you can see in the photo, she is beyond ready to hang the petite, egg ornaments.

Let's get started... each one is hung with great care, THAT'S scary, NOW I'm beginning to think she IS my shadow... LOL!  It was so sweet just watching her concentrate on where every egg should go, I will forever treasure this in my heart... as some of you may know also... she calls us Grandma & Papa & the whole time it was, "Grandma, look... where this egg go?" PRICELESS!!! I so encourage you to make special memories with children, it not only fills their soul, but your soul as well, I PROMISE!  And each time... I reminence of memories past with my own son, of all the eggs that were hung on trees... my soul still runneth over even today.

Each egg beautifully hung, a sparkle in our eyes & hearts that share the same memory for a lifetime... Simply Beautiful!

Pamela

P.S.  Would love to hear of the memories made during this special season!
